Karim Benzema scored his first goal for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, breaking through into the league with a spectacular effort against Al-Hilal in their opening match.

The French striker, who has previously played for Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, was introduced as a substitute at the start of the game on Saturday, but quickly made his mark.

Benzema's strike came after just two minutes of play, when he received a pass from fellow forward Youssef Saliba and calmly slotting home a low shot past goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Khateeb.

It was a stunning debut performance for Benzema,Bundesliga Tracking who had been out of action since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in October last year. The 34-year-old has struggled to find form in recent years, but this goal showed that he is still capable of producing top-level performances.

Al-Nassr have struggled in the Saudi Pro League so far, winning only one of their six matches and conceding 16 goals. However, Benzema's arrival could help to turn things around and give the team some much-needed momentum heading into the second half of the season.
